Biography
Rona Berg is the author of the best-selling
Beauty: The New Basics, and the brand-new Fast Beauty: 1000 Quick Fixes, books
that take a down-to-earth, healthy approach to beauty, with insider tips, tricks
and techniques on everything from skin- to body- to hair-care.
Berg is the former Beauty Editor of The New York Times Magazine and Editorial
Director of ELLE. At the Times, Berg wrote the beauty column and edited the
lifestyle subjects, including fashion, food, wine, home design and men's style.
She was on the launch team of ELLE magazine, where she directed or supervised
every facet of the editorial process from concept to publication. She was also a
contributing editor to SELF, where she generated story ideas and wrote feature
articles for the magazine.
Berg has gone behind the scenes and covered beauty, health, style, or travel
for many national magazines and newspapers, including Vogue, In Style, Real
Simple, Ladies Home Journal, O: The Oprah Magazine, Health, SELF, Fitness,
Mademoiselle, The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review,
Mirabella, Chic Simple, Cosmopolitan, ELLE, New Woman, US Weekly, The New York
Post, MODE, Spa Finder, Weight Watchers, Body and Soul, and Psychology Today.
She has covered topics related to motherhood and parenting for CHILD, Sesame
Street Parents, and a new parenting magazine called PLUM. She currently writes
for a variety of magazines and teaches an online beauty course that she created
for Barnes and Noble University. Berg travels around the country and gives talks
and beauty demonstrations. She has appeared as a health and beauty expert on
hundreds of radio and television shows across the U.S.

Berg was born in New York City, and graduated from Cornell University in
Ithaca, New York. She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
