Helen Garabedian

Innovator in Specialty Yoga with Babies,Toddlers and Tykes
 Founder of the "Itsy Bitsy Yoga" Program


Biography

Helen Garabedian is an innovator in specialty yoga with babies, toddlers and tykes. In 1999, Ms. Garabedian founded the Itsy Bitsy Yoga program as a way to bond with her future children, aid in their physical/social/emotional development, and help new parents connect with other parents with similar interests. The program was an instant success with parents, babies, toddlers, teachers, retailers, and the media. Her program is presently being taught by more than 300 Certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitators in the US, Canada, and Asia.

Helen has made a lifelong commitment to yoga. As a Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher, Certified Infant Developmental Movement Educator, USUI Reiki Master, IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Certified Pregnancy Yoga Teacher and Level One Brain Gym graduate, she is a master in her field.

Referred to as the Baby Yoga Expert by Newsweek Magazine, Ms. Garabedian is the author of Itsy Bitsy Yoga: Poses to Help Your Baby Sleep Longer, Digest Better, and Grow Stronger.

Helen is regularly interviewed by the Associated Press and other media outlets reporting on such prevalent topics as exercise for the young and childhood obesity.

Additionally, Itsy Bitsy Yoga has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, USA Today, Parents magazine, People magazine, Yoga Journal, LA Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The New York Times, FamilyEnergy magazine, and Baby Years. Ms. Garabedian is an early childhood developmental movement expert and frequent guest speaker at NAEYC and ChildSpirit conferences.
