Biography
Jeremy R. Geffen, MD, FACP is a board-certified medical oncologist, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a pioneer in the field of integrative medicine and oncology. He is founder of Geffen Visions International and director of integrative oncology for P4 Healthcare and Caring4Cancer.com. A gifted and inspiring physician, speaker, writer, and seminar leader, he is the author of the highly-acclaimed book "The Journey Through Cancer: Healing and Transforming the Whole Person" (Three Rivers, 2006) and integrative medicine program "The Seven Levels of Healing®."
He has addressed a large number of groups and conferences, and has testified before the United States Congress as an expert witness on integrative medicine and oncology.
In addition to his academic medical education and training, Dr. Geffen has traveled extensively and has more than thirty years of experience exploring the great spiritual and healing traditions of the world, including Ayurveda, Tibetan Medicine, yoga, meditation, Jungian psychology, and other approaches to health and self-awareness.
Described as an "oncologist of the future," Dr. Geffen founded the Geffen Cancer Center and Research Institute, one of the first cancer centers in the United States explicitly designed to provide a working model of truly holistic, comprehensive cancer care for the 21st century.
Dr. Geffen's work is now focused on writing, speaking, and consulting with hospitals, medical centers, and professional organizations in developing leading-edge integrative programs for medicine and life. He also leads seminars and retreats throughout the United States and abroad, and offers personal consulting for individuals and their families.
