Biography

Jay P. Granat, Ph.D., is a Psychotherapist and Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor in River Edge, New Jersey. Dr. Granat has authored several books and many journal articles and has developed several self-help programs for stress management for peak performance in sports. A former university professor, he writes a weekly column for three newspapers and has appeared in The Sunday New York Times, Good Morning America, The Newark Star Ledger, The Golf Digest, ESPN, Golf Digest, Tennis Magazine and The Bergen Record.

Dr. Granat has recently written two books. Get Into The Zone In Just One Minute and Zone Tennis. These books are published by World Audience, Inc. Granat has also developed the following programs: 21 Creative Ways To Conquer Stress and 18 Ways To Relax With Self-Hypnosis, Meditation And Visualization, How To Get In The Zone And Stay In The Zone With Sport Psychology And Self-Hypnosis, How To Lower Your Golf Score With Sport Psychology And Self-Hypnosis, How To Conquer Test Anxiety And 101 Ways To Break Out Of A Hitting Slump.

Dr. Granat is the founder of StayInTheZone.com. Granat received his graduate education at The University Of Michigan and he is Past Vice-President of The New York Society For Ericksonian Psychotherapy And Hypnosis. He lives in River Vale, New Jersey with his wife Robin and their twins Nicole and Zachary.
