Biography

Debbie Mandel, MA is the author of Addicted to Stress: A Woman's 7 Step Program to Reclaim Joy and Spontaneity in Life, Changing Habits: The Caregivers’ Total Workout and Turn On Your Inner Light: Fitness for Body, Mind and Soul, a stress-management specialist, motivational speaker and university lecturer, the host of the weekly Turn On Your Inner Light Show on WGBB AM1240 in New York City, produces a wellness newsletter, and has been featured on radio/ TV and print media.

Her book, Addicted to Stress: A Woman’s 7 Step Program to Reclaim Joy and Spontaneity in Life (Wiley, 2008) explains the habit forming pressure principle of stress addiction and how to cure it, creating awareness to overcome daily stressors in order to build immunity to outside pressure. Women who are constantly stressed out have forgotten the dreams of the free-spirited girl living inside them before they became somebody’s wife, mother, or workplace colleague. The book contains the following:
